Top 5 wine cellars

This week we enter a world of sophistication and flavour; wine cellars. A space dedicated exclusively to the protection of wine… who wouldn’t want that? It’s already interesting enough to visit one on its own, but to have it inside the hotel is a whole new level of experience. It adds depth to the culinary adventure and an amazing opportunity to tell a story with it.

Just like flavour can tell stories, design can too. Today we hand-picked five projects that used this design opportunity to its best advantage.
The JW Marriot Resort & Spa was chosen for its special circular layout that allows visitors to seamlessly flow through the area.
The Blue Lagoon Iceland for the way it is embedded into the rocky landscapes of the reykjanes UNESCO Global Geopark, an idea that continues through the whole project.
The St. Regis Langkawi  for its sophisticated and   fresh cool-and-warm colour schemes. TheLoisium Wine & Spa Resort Langenlois for its minimal but impressive and intriguing take on the historical 900-year-old subterranean network.
The Soneva Kiri for its  beautiful organic shaped walls and flooring that brings back the essence of ancient cavas while seeming incredibly modern.
