Top 5 vibrant monochromatic colour schemes

It’s no news that colour has the ability to affect our perception, senses and emotions. They are intricately linked to our most primitive instincts, triggering reactions to colour that are almost irrational, but not less vivid.

Today we selected five projects with a courageous monochromatic colour scheme. Contrary to belief, a monochromatic colour scheme isn’t necessarily black and white.  Any colour palette that explores the different values (the amount of darkness and lightness) within a given tone is monochromatic.

Blue is trustworthy, sublime, celestial and calm.
Yellow evokes cheerful, radiant and extrovert vibes. Orange is warm, calm yet upbeat, youthful and bright. Green, artificial or not, takes us to nature and all its associated mental states.
These are only some of the endless psychological strategies that designers can adopt with colour design.
